Request for Open Space
"We, the under signed citizens, request that the city-owned property lying south of the Canyon Hiking Trail and east to the city limit, be permanently zoned as open space.
We feel that the unique formation and scenic beauty of this property require it be preserved in its natural state.
With the unprecedented growth in Cedar City, these types of areas, especially at the entrance to our city, will help Cedar City maintain its' unique identity.
We understand that there is currently no zoning designation called "open space" and encourage that one be created to protect this area and others.
Thank you for your service to our community and your consideration in the matter."
